British Regional Champ's 2007 - Silversone.

The UK 10th Off-Road national series is well known all over the world for it’s challenging variation of track styles, the Silverstone track certainly fit in. For the first couple of rounds of 2wd on Saturday the surface was rough grass, from mid-Saturday on it was more like the surface of the moon. In a couple of places 2” deep holes were dug out by the cars, making the track a real test of skill & set-up. Get the line wrong and the car was in the ditch – literally (the track has a 5 foot deep ditch at the side of it – I know ‘cos I fell in it on Friday night). For 4wd on Sunday the track was re-routed slightly to avoid the worst of the craters, and run in the opposite direction. As you would expect the 4wd cars coped with the rough surface much better than the 2wd. No more major holes appeared; it seemed that all the poor areas of ground had already been stripped back to bedrock and could go no further.
